Rubi Bhandari
Bridge Engineer | Structural Engineering
I work across bridge design, structural analysis, and resilient infrastructure, with graduate training from Florida International University and engineering experience in both the United States and Nepal.
Overview
Professional profile
I am a Bridge EIT at EAC Consulting Inc. with an M.S. in Civil Engineering, concentrated in Structural Engineering, from Florida International University. Before graduate school, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University and built professional experience in Nepal through structural design, analysis, drafting, and infrastructure work.
My background centers on bridge and structural engineering. At FIU, I also worked on research involving structural response, vibration, and the performance of building systems under loading conditions, including wind-related behavior studied through the NHERI Wall of Wind Experimental Facility under the guidance of Dr. Ioannis Zisis. That experience strengthened how I think about testing, load effects, and code-informed design, while keeping my primary focus on bridge and structural practice.
I am especially interested in bridge systems, structural analysis, detailing, and practical engineering solutions that improve safety, constructability, and long-term performance. I value clear communication, thoughtful design, and opportunities to support students and communities through engineering work.
